About Foureye

Foureye are baseline edible fish, ubiquitous in the shallow sunlit layer. The four-lens cluster gives them a wide threat-detection cone, which means they bolt at the first sign of a serious predator. That makes them a useful environmental cue: when foureye empty a tile, something larger is incoming. They are easy to grab without a tool and stack well in a Floating Locker before the first base goes up. As food they are forgettable on their own, but cooked or salted they cover early hunger pressure and free your inventory for harder-to-reach materials.
