Shiver Leviathans hunt in the deep void at pressure zones a baseline player simply cannot reach. The species hunts in coordinated packs and treats a vehicle as a single target rather than a hard one. By the time visual contact happens, the formation is already shaping into an attack. Survival depends on never producing a contact in the first place: read the depth gauge, treat any descent past the safe envelope as committed, and turn back at the first noise contact. Engaging one alone is rarely survivable; engaging a pack at depth is not survivable at all.
How to handle an encounter
- · Do not engage. Treat the area as off-limits without high-tier equipment.
- · Mark the boundary on the map with a Beacon and detour around it.
- · If you must transit, plan a clear retreat path before the first contact.
