Twin Sitaray
Paired ray species that hunts in coordinated pairs.

About Twin Sitaray
CautionOpen water and ledges
Twin Sitaray are paired ray-form swimmers that almost always appear in twos. The pair coordinates a pinch attack when committed, which means the dangerous case is being between them, not in front of them. Stay above one of the two and the pair has to break formation to reach you, which they avoid doing because separating drops their hunt success. They are largely a navigation hazard rather than a serious threat, and their distribution is a soft cue for areas where larger predators have not yet arrived. The pair typically disperses if a heavier predator enters the biome.
How to handle an encounter
- · Approach only with a plan. The species reacts to crowding or contact.
- · Scan from outside its threat radius before considering a closer pass.
- · Move on once you have the data; do not linger near the spawn.
